William Michael Sullivan Obituary

William Michael Sullivan passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025. A Memorial Service will be held at 11AM Tuesday, December 2 at First Baptist Church in Bryan. Pastor David Gueswelle will officiate.

Born September 20, 1943, in Lubbock, Texas, he was the son of William Paul Sullivan and Marilyn (Riggs) Sullivan. A former U.S. Army Captain who served in Vietnam from 1968-1969, he was deeply patriotic and carried a sincere love for his country throughout his life. He took great pride in the values and freedoms it stood for.

In his spare time, he enjoyed tending to his garden, spending weekends camping, and traveling in his RV. He also had a lifelong fondness for motorcycles, appreciating both the freedom of the open road and the craftsmanship behind every bike.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Marilyn; a brother, Ken Sullivan; and a sister, Lyn Essex.

Mike leaves behind to cherish his memories,  his beloved wife of 60 years, Linda Sullivan; three daughters, Shelley Malone and husband, Jackie, Cindy Emola and husband, Anthony, and Kathy Sullivan; four beautiful grandchildren, Bryan (and wife Amy), Parker (and wife Lauren), Nick(and wife Faith) and Connor; as well as two precious great-grandchildren, Reagan and Kayleigh Malone. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, please make any donations toward the building fund at First Baptist Church of Bryan.

A special thank you to CHI St Joseph Regional Hospital staff, Dr. Obi , and Hospice Brazos Valley for all their excellent and compassionate care.
