It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved father, William Francis Konley, Sr, who went home to be with God on January 29, 2024.

William was preceded by the death of his father (Clarence Francis Konley), mother (Ella Mae Bragg Konley), siblings: Brothers (Jack Konley and George Konley), Sisters (Clare Mulderink and June Felgenhauer) and his wife (Judith Ruth Woodman Konley) and his eldest son (William F. Konley Jr).

William is survived by his second wife, Vivian Howard, and his children: Charmaine, Michelle, Tina (Dennis Maxfield), Thomas (Rhonda), Todd and Pam (Ryan Carlson) and grandchildren: Christina, Rick, Chara (Brian Yochum), Duane, William (Jillian), Bianca (Johannes Koberlein), Casandra (Valentin Ramirez), Virginia (Wes Coffey), Melissa, Christopher, Scott, Jessica, Erick, Heather, Devin, and many great-grandchildren.

William was surrounded by a loving family who will forever cherish his memory. William was a great father, man of strength, wisdom, humor, and had undying love for his family.

He worked as a lineman for the telephone services in Illinois and California, working his way up into management and was able to retire at 50 years old.

He was a devout Catholic and humbly served God and prayed the rosary daily. He and his first wife, Judith, held an “Our Lady’s Blue Army” on Saturdays for prayer with members in Cape Coral, FL for many years before moving to Texas and then formed another chapter there in College Station.

SERVICES: A mass to honor William’s life will be held at St Terrance at 4300 W 119th Pl Alsip, IL followed by interment at Holy Sepulchre 6001 West 111th St, Alsip IL.
