Thelma Jane Luse, 77, of Bryan, Texas passed away Sunday, September 18, 2022. A Celebration of Life is set for 11 AM Thursday, September 22 at Crestview Terrace with Pastor Tommy Sparks and Chaplain Brent Sims officiating. A Family Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
Born February 22, 1945, in Cedar Cove, Tuscaloosa County, Alabama she was the daughter of Harmon Pat Carnes and Jessie Mae Shuttlesworth Carnes.
Her parents, Harmon and Jessie; her brother, Harmon Julian Carnes; one sister, Mary Ruth Carnes Graham, and husband, C.H. Graham; two nephews, Dan Spencer Graham, and Brandon Skelton precede her in death.
Thelma leaves behind to cherish her memories her beloved twin sister, Nelma Jean Carnes; her ex-husband, Sammy Ray Malone Sr.; four loving children, Kimberly Diana Malone Morris (Keith), Sammy Ray Malone Jr. (Jennifer), Teresa Jean Malone Bullock (Todd), and Michael Wayne Malone (Tiffani); nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; as well as, numerous friends and family.
Thelma was a devoted member of her church and loved to cook for the members. In her pastime, she loved to read her bible and sew. She also enjoyed going antique shopping. But above all, she religiously watched Alabama football and instilled it in all her kids.
