Terry Ross Dowling, 67, of Caldwell passed away Thursday, June 2, 2022. A Graveside Service will be held at 10AM Saturday, June 4, 2022, at Wellborn Cemetery.   

Born November 4, 1954 in Bryan, Texas, he was the son of Warren Ross Dowling and Geraldine (Cunningham) Downing. Terry was always up for an adventure. When he was thirteen, he hopped a freight train in College Station and rode it to Houston to see his cousin Steve. He told his brother that when he jumped out of the car and hit the ground, he thought he would never stop rolling. At one point in his life, he joined the circus and said he shoveled elephant dung. He decided to get a pilot’s license and was successful at that. Terry worked on a shrimp boat in the gulf. Aside from his adventures, he also enjoyed having time alone and going on cruises. In 1973 he joined the Army and served as an artillerist. After active duty service, he joined the reserves and served with an Airborne Unit.

His parents Warren and Geraldine precede him in death.

Terry leaves behind to cherish his memories a daughter, Sarah Quiroz and husband, Pablo; his brother, Rickie Dowling and wife, Mary Frances; as well as his three precious grandchildren, James, Sophia, and Quentin.
