Stephen Michael Devine, 77, passed away on June 15, 2026.
Born December 28, 1948, in Lake Charles, LA, to Merle and Juanita (Louvier) Devine. He served in the Navy for many years, where he met his wife, Joni. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree, and later he worked in education as the Director of State School until his retirement. He loved spending time in the garden, at the gun range, and on adventures in natural places.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Joni Devine, and his sister, Eileene Devine Vernor.
Steve will forever be remembered by those who knew and loved him: son, Tony Devine; daughters, Sandra Devine Ewing and husband Justin, Kari Parfait Perkins and husband Christopher; sister, Connie Dare; and his grandchildren: Robin Aiden Beth, Robyn Ewing, Tommy Ewing, and Milana Ewing.
