Shirlene M. Clampit

August 23, 1942 – December 21, 2022

Shirlene M. Clampit, 80, of Giddings passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2022. A Memorial Service is set for 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 28th at Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Giddings.

Born August 23, 1942, in Dime Box, Texas she was the daughter of Louis and Leona (Jaehne) Hannes. Hunting, fishing, gardening, and all things outdoors were a part of her daily life. Shirlene loved to cook (indoors or outdoors) and entertain for her family and friends.  Shirlene had a passion for life. One of the things she loved the most, was sitting on her back patio, sharing memories, and laughing with her family and friends.  She was a very active person and always looking to play cards, dominoes or dancing, she was the life of the party!   She even built her own walkway in her backyard in which she was quite proud.

Her parents, Louis, and Leona; along with a son, Stan Chapman precede her in death.

Shirlene leaves behind to cherish her memories to her loving husband of 51 years, James A. Clampit; one son, Steve, and his wife Sylvia Chapman; a sister, Janelle Howard; four grandchildren, Haeli, Sarah, Caleb, and Laney; as well as a precious great grandson, Noah.
