Shan Lawrence Wilson, age 70, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2024. Born on May 25, 1954, in Chicago, Illinois, to David Wilson and Betty Robinson, both of whom predeceased him, Shan lived a life filled with laughter, dedication, and love for those around him. 

In 1972, Shan enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, proudly serving his country until 1975. He later moved to California, where he found community and camaraderie at the American Legion, a place that held a special place in his heart. Known for his sharp sense of humor, Shan always brought joy to those around him.

In his later years, Shan relocated to Texas, where he found solace and purpose in his church community. His faith and kindness left a lasting impact on many who knew him.

Shan leaves behind a legacy of love, cherished memories, and a devoted family, including his two children, Cory Wilson and Shannon Cofield; and a host of family and friends who will dearly miss him.

Shan’s life will be celebrated in a private ceremony with family and close friends. His family invites those who knew him to honor his memory by embracing the laughter, love, and resilience he shared with others.
