Sandra “Sandy” Watson Neaves was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 20, 2024, in College Station, Texas. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Sandra Jan Watson was born on January 7, 1937 to Frank and Laverne Watson. She grew up in Spur, Texas until she left to attend Baylor University in 1955 to pursue a degree in music education. She met Walter Neaves after a successful blind date and they were married on August 23,1958. Sandra was a music and elementary school teacher for over 25 years.

Following retirement, she and Walter enjoyed traveling the country in their RV and seeing new places. Since June of 2015 she has lived in College Station to be near family and was a member of First Baptist Bryan.

She is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Laverne Watson, brother Jim Watson, and husband Walter Neaves.

She is survived by her son Bryan Neaves and his wife Jessica of Belton, Texas and her son Chris Neaves and his wife Leigh of College Station, Texas.  Sandra is also survived by her 3 granddaughters- Brayton, Kendall, and Carlie Neaves. A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church Bryan on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at 2pm in Room 136 followed by a dessert reception and visitation.
