Sally Ann Mejia, 61, of Somerville passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2026. No formal services are planned at this time.
Born on April 5, 1965, in Somerville, Texas, she was the daughter of Joe and Mary (Villarreal) Trevino. Sally enjoyed living in the country and the simple pleasures it offered, especially gardening and caring for her plants. She loved cooking and passed her wonderful cooking skills on to her daughters. Sally also enjoyed sewing, spending time with her beloved dogs, and collecting special keepsakes and treasures that brought her joy. Above all, she loved her family deeply and cherished every moment spent with them.
Sally is preceded in death by her mother, Mary; one beloved daughter, Amelia Curry; and two sisters, Erlinda and Delores Trevino.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her loving husband, Evaristo Mejia Jr.; two daughters, Anite Torres, who loved her beyond reason and frequently called Sally her Queen, and Marie Inez Fonseca; one brother, Joe Torres; two sisters, Kathy Castillo and Yolanda Melendez; eight grandchildren, Xavier Evaristo Mejia, Jacinto Angel Ashton, Jovonni Paulino Ashton, Veronica Marie Garcia, Vincent Vega, J.R. Fonseca, Adelise Curry, and, Aiden Curry; numerous great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and, friends. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her. They will keep Sally in their hearts forever, never forgetting the love and the memories shared between them all.
