Ruth Crocker, 80, of Bryan, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 30, 2025. A Visitation is set for 5pm to 8pm on Tuesday, October 7, in the chapel of Trevino Smith Funeral. Funeral Services are set for 11am, Wednesday, October 8, also at Trevino Smith; burial will follow at Kurten Cemetery.

Born November 27, 1944 in Jasper, Texas, she was the daughter of Barney and Bonnie Ruth (Sheffield) McLain. Ruth was a fun loving, outgoing woman, who enjoyed dancing, watching A&M Football, and listening to music; she especially loved George Strait and Elvis Presley. Ruth was also known for her generosity and would go out of her way to help a friend in need. Whether it was cooking a meal, lending a hand, or simply offering a listening ear, she gave from the heart without expecting anything in return. Above all, she loved her family deeply and cherished every moment she spent with them. 

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, Barney (Boots) McLain and Bonnie Ruth (Sheffield) Manthei and half-sister, Carolyn Bickle

She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her husband of sixty-one years, Cecil Crocker; her sister in law Edna Mae Reed; one son, Mark Crocker and wife Trish; one daughter, Kim Crocker Olive; three sisters, Joy Ramsey and husband Bruce, Clarice Fulton, Patsy Luce and husband Floyd; four grandchildren, Ty Navarette, Tee Crocker and wife Rosalyn, Catelyn Crocker, and Kember Catalena, ; one beloved great grandchild, Margaret Ann Crocker; and her best friend of over sixty five years, Carolyn Teeter as well as, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Ruth will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
