Born on September 7, 1946, in Houston, Texas, Roy Glenn Moritz, affectionately known as Spankey, passed away on April 26, 2025, in Bryan, Texas, on what would have been his 53rd wedding anniversary. He was 78 years old and resided in Somerville, Texas.

Roy is survived by his beloved wife, Carol Moritz; cherished family friends and brother, Tom and Blanche Sparks; his three children, Sonny Ritch, Charles Ritch, and his only daughter, Tammy Baldwin; as well as his four adored grandchildren, Stephen Ritch, Brittany Moritz, Amber Ritch, and Bradley Baldwin. He also leaves behind ten great-grandchildren who brought him immense joy.

Growing up in Cypress Fairbanks on a dairy farm, Roy chose to become an electrician, a profession he embraced with pride. He had a deep love for hunting, fishing, and spending time in the scenic Texas hill country. One of his favorite pastimes was BBQing on weekends, often with Tina Turner's music playing loudly and a Crown and Sprite in hand.

To Roy, friends were family. He was a hero to his sister-in-law, Robyn, and a devoted husband and father. His love for Carol, their children, and grandchildren was evident in everything he did. He often told his granddaughters, "Do me a giant favor and I'll dance at your wedding," or playfully reminded them, "You better kiss me because you're gonna miss me when I'm gone."

Roy will forever be loved and missed by all who knew him. His spirit and warmth will continue to shine through the memories he created with his family and friends.
