Roy Glenn Wiggins, 70, of Somerville, Texas went home to be with the Lord on April 3, 2026. A celebration of life will be held at Community Chapel, 14805 TX-36, Somerville, Texas 77879, on May 16, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.
Roy was born on March 11, 1956, in Livingston, Texas to Roy Wiggins, Jr. and Robbie Lynn Wiggins (Morris). He was the middle child of three. From 2011 until retirement, Roy enjoyed his time working as an electronic technician in the fracking industry. He found immense joy in the simple pleasures – spending quiet mornings by the water with a fishing pole in hand (he wanted those catfish), talking on his ham radio to friends near and far, and sharing laughter with those he loved the most. He loved his church family and spending time with his and his wife’s family playing Yahtzee and other games.
Roy lived a life rooted in love, faith, and family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. His life reflected his strong Christian faith and his belief in living with gratitude. His sense of humor, kindness, and love will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.
Roy married his beautiful bride, Laura Lee Wiggins (Lieder) on New Years Eve 1998. They enjoyed country dancing in their earlier years and watching nature together from their porch in later years.
In his final days Roy loved spending time with anyone who visited. He was quick to tell you that he would miss you and that he loved you. He attended church each Sunday morning and loved playing Bingo and Yahtzee and doing puzzles with his friends and family.
Roy is survived by his wife, Laura Wiggins (Lieder), brother, Larry Wiggins, sons Christopher Wiggins (Andrea), Jarrott Wiggins, Curtis “Bud” Mullins (Jada), daughter Amanda Wiggins, and granddaughters: Kymber-Leigh Castro, Ashlyn Little, Samantha Wiggins, Savannah DeWeese (Chase), and Abby Mullins, great-granddaughter Layla Castro and nieces and nephews, Melanie Aluotto (Alyn), Jesse Vasquez, Julian Vasquez, Britany Wiggins and Brandon Wiggins. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Lynda Mandujuano.
Those who knew Roy may take comfort in knowing that he has now cast his line into heavenly waters and rest peacefully in the presence of his Savior.
