Ronald Hal Rhodes II Obituary

Ronald (Ron) Hal Rhodes, 71 of College Station, Texas went to be with the Lord on May 7, 2026. He passed away peacefully at his home with his wife, Renee by his side.

Born on January 28, 1955 in Houston, Texas, Ron always had a thirst for life, adventure and God. Ron’s 45-year career of being a Global Management System Manager for TOTAL Petrochemicals USA, Inc. led him on experiences all over the world. Including living in Paris, France for four years prior to his retirement in 2017.

After retirement Ron would go on to be a published author of the book, “The Whisper”. He would also do public speaking on Safety and Loss Control throughout Texas.

In his spare time, Ron and Renee loved traveling, taking road trips, cruises and weekend get-a-ways, as much as possible. Ron was a HUGE Aggie and Astro fan! You would always catch him “Coaching from the Couch” with the volume up high, when either team was playing ball.

Ron was a giver, with a huge heart and soul. His love for Jesus and his family went unmatched. Going to church every Sunday and listing to the word of God was a highlight for him and something he looked forward to.

Ron was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Terri Rhodes; parents, Ronald, Sr and Lura Mae Rhodes; brothers-in-law, Arthur Mendizabal and Ernest (Bob) Polansky, III.

Ron is survived by his loving wife of five years, Renee Polansky Rhodes; his children, Ronald Rhodes, III, Lori Tullis (Ray) and Travis Rhodes (Jamiee); stepdaughter, Jaime Henry (Jason); his grandchildren, Jimmy, Blake, Jace and Wesley; step grandchildren, Kaili, Kyle (Hannah) and Colton; step great-grandchildren, Kasen and Karsyn; sisters, Lynda Mendizabal and Stephanie Clay (Craig); sister-in-law, Zyna Polansky, and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his beloved “Fur Babies” Bella and Scooter.

Ron will always be remembered by his wit, sense of humor, outspoken political opinions, the love for his family and most importantly his faith in the Lord.

There will be a public memorial at a later date.
