Ronald (Ronnie) Glenn Hubby saw Jesus’ face on October 3, 2025, as he passed into eternal life.

Ronnie, age 71, of College Station, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by friends and family. He was born on 13 June 1954 in Clovis, New Mexico to James and Imogene (Sherwood) Hubby.

He was blessed with having two wives who loved and cared for him. His first wife of 24 years was Cynthia Carol (Lackey) Hubby, and second wife of 23 years was Joy (Robbins) Hubby.

Ronnie loved The Lord and was ordained as a deacon on March 23, 2014, at Central Baptist Church, New Mexico, having been involved in several ministries. He graduated from Clovis High School in 1972, Texas A&M University in 1976. He was a four-year Aggie letterman in football and later devoted himself as a science teacher, football and track coach in New Mexico and Texas for 40 years.

His main joy in life was to serve His Lord and to care for his family. He had a passion for his family, woodworking, gardening and Aggie football. He is remembered for his service to others, his kindness, generosity, and above all, his caring spirit - always placing other people first.

Ron is survived by his wife Joy. His son James and husband Andrew Walters-Hubby of Fairfax Station, Virginia. His daughter Katie and husband Frank Patranella of Bryan, Texas with grandchildren Dayton, Anthony, Natalee, and Emma. His mother Imogene, siblings Judy, Lisa, Doug, as well as numerous beloved family members.

A memorial service will be at held at First Baptist Church, 3100 Cambridge Drive, Bryan, Texas at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2025. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First Baptist Church Bryan.
