Ramiro Gonzalez Acevedo, 80, of Bryan entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 31, 2024. A Visitation is set for Friday, September 6, from 5pm to 8m with a Rosary at 6pm; all in the Chapel of Trevino Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Services are set for 9am, Saturday, September 7, at Santa Teresa Catholic Church; with burial to follow at Bryan City Cemetery.
Born April 12, 1944 in Jaripo, Michoacan, Mexico he was the son of Pascual and Sofia (Acevdedo) Gonzalez. Ramiro enjoyed watching boxing and soccer, playing dominoes, and loved his wife’s delicious home cooking. Above all, he loved his family and cherished every moment he spent with them.
Ramiro is preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife of fifty –three years, Maria Barragan Ortega; one son, Joel Gonzalez; as well as, one sister and three brothers.
He leaves behind to continue his legacy and to cherish his memories; two sons, Salvador and Rigoberto Gonzalez; three daughters, Alejandra and husband Victor Mejia, Esmeralda and husband Arturo Hernandez, and, Edith Gonzalez; two sisters, Amalia Gonzalez and Maria Refugio; fourteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; as well as, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Ramiro González Acevedo, 80 años, de Bryan, entró en descanso eterno el sábado 31 de agosto de 2024. La Visita está programada para el viernes 6 de septiembre de 5 p. m. a 8 m con un Rosario a las 6 p. m.; todo en la Capilla de la Funeraria Treviño Smith. Los servicios funerarios están programados para las 9 am del sábado 7 de septiembre en la Iglesia Católica Santa Teresa; y el entierro se realizará en el cementerio de la ciudad de Bryan.
Nacido el 12 de abril de 1944 en Jaripo, Michoacán, México, era hijo de Pascual y Sofía (Acevdedo) González. A Ramiro le gustaba ver boxeo y fútbol, jugar dominó y le encantaba la deliciosa comida casera de su esposa. Por encima de todo, amaba a su familia y apreciaba cada momento que pasaba con ellos.
A Ramiro le precedieron en la muerte sus padres; su amada esposa durante cincuenta y tres años, María Barragán Ortega; un hijo, Joel González; así como, una hermana y tres hermanos.
Deja atrás para continuar su legado y apreciar sus recuerdos; dos hijos, Salvador y Rigoberto González; tres hijas, Alejandra y su esposo Víctor Mejía, Esmeralda y su esposo Arturo Hernández, y Edith González; dos hermanas, Amalia González y María Refugio; catorce nietos y siete bisnietos; así como numerosas sobrinas, sobrinos, primos y amigos.
