Rafael Bosquez, 70, of Houston, passed away Friday, June 9, 2023. Funeral Services are set for 11AM Thursday, June 22 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 5PM - 8PM Wednesday, June 21 with a 6PM Rosary in the Chapel of Trevino-Smith Funeral Home.
Born November 4, 1952, in Bryan, he was the son of Diego Sr. and Petra (Nieto) Bosquez. He worked hard for his family and enjoyed his work as a mechanic and a truck driver for many years. Rafael loved dancing and was known to be quite a character. He lit up a room with his handsome smile and humorous ways. Most of all Rafael loved his family deeply and enjoyed spending every moment possible with them. He also instilled love, the value of family and encouragement to never give up. Rafael was a strong believer in our Lord Jesus Christ.
His parents, along with five brothers, Lupe, Frank, Luther, Roy, Diego Bosquez Jr. and four sisters, Josefina Escobedo, Argelia Escobedo, Estella Garcia and Jean Benavides. One son-in-law, Samuel N. Medrano preceded him in death.
Rafael leaves behind to cherish his memories, his loving wife of nineteen years, Minerva (Carrillo) Bosquez; two daughters, Gina Bosquez and fiancée Jason Hernandez, Michelle and David Ramirez; two stepdaughters, Teresa and Dean Taccogna and Helena Robledo; two stepsons; Mario and Rochelle Robledo, and Gilbert and Celia Robledo; one brother, Juan and Ruth Bosquez; four sisters, Victoria Lara, Helen Medina, Esther Trejo, and Orvillia and Cruz Castro, brother-in-law, Rudy Benavides Sr.; 12 grandchildren and 4 precious great-grandchildren, Ryder and Ryleigh Constancio, Kamryn Treadway and Kinnley Sauseda.
