Petra Duron, 93, of Bryan, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, August 13, 2025. A Visitation is set for Thursday, August 21, from 5pm to 8pm with a Rosary at 6pm, all in the chapel of Trevino Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Services are set for 2pm Friday, August 22, at St. Joseph Catholic Chruch; burial will follow at Bryan City Cemetery. 

Born May 19, 1932, in Yorktown, Texas, she was the daughter of Julio and Luz Morales. Petra was a fun-loving spirit who loved everyone she met. She enjoyed going out with her friends and was always the life of the party. Above all, Petra loved her family deeply and cherished every moment she spent with them.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Julio and Luz; her loving husband, Phillip Duron; two sons, Jerry and James Duron Sr.; three brothers Albert Morales, Tony Morales and Ross Rodriguez; two sisters, Pauline Gomez, Ruby Gonzales, and Josie Martinez.

Petra leaves behind to cherish her memories, a daughter, Lisa Duron; two brothers, Johnny Morales and wife Teresa and Michael Morales; sister-In- law, Ruth Morales; eight grandchildren, Brandi Duron and husband Justin Broadus, Betti Salcedo, Jerry Duron II, James Duron Jr., Jessica Duron and wife Crystal, Tiffany Dickson, Stephanie Dickson and husband Brandon Mitchell, Regan Dickson and husband Jose Hernandez; thirteen great grandchildren; as well as, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
