Pamela Kay Paceley, 62, passed away suddenly on July 12, 2021 in Bryan, TX. She was born on December 15, 1958 in Amarillo, TX to Bobby and Gail (Walker) Smith.

There are no formal services at the time.

Pamela grew up as a child of an Airforce airman and called many places home growing up. She would graduate from Winston Churchill High School in San Antonio, TX in 1977.

After high school, Pam took pride in working for Southwest Airlines and Avis. She married her first husband, Eugene Stalbird and had two children, Ashley and Evan. Although her marriage ended after 6 years, she remained good friends with Gene over the years. After moving to Bryan, Tx she met Royce Paceley. He quickly became step-dad to Ashley and Evan and Dad to Pam’s third child, Heather.

Royce and Pamela were married on December 31, 1994 for 26 years.

In Pam’s early life she enjoyed dancing to the beat of her own drum mainly to classic rock, but could find joy in all genres. She had a good sense of humor and loved to laugh, some of her

favorite shows included, “I Love Lucy” and “The Andy Griffith Show”. She really enjoyed cooking and passed a love of cooking on to her children. The famous cheesecake always shows up at all family functions. Pam really took to animals, she always had cats and a dog by her side. She was proud of her children.

Pamela was preceded in death by her father, Bobby W. Smith.

Pamela is survived by her husband, Royce M. Paceley of Bryan, TX, Daughter, Ashley (Matthew) Coates of Albuquerque, NM, Son, Evan (Sarah) Stalbird of College Station, TX, and Daughter,

Heather (Ray) Silva of Bryan, TX, Sisters Vicki Tribble of Bryan, TX and Ginger (Troy) Pivonka of Bryan, TX. Mother, Gail Jane Smith of Bryan, TX, her grandchildren, Allison and Eli Coates, and Scarlett and Xabi Silva.
