Odilia Gonzalez De La Rosa, 84, of Bryan, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 14, 2025. A Visitation is set from 5-8PM Wednesday, February 19 in the Chapel of Trevino-Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 11AM Thursday, February 20 also at Trevino-Smith with burial to follow at the Bryan City Cemetery.
Born in July 17, 1940 in Robstown, Texas she was the daughter of Enrique and Inocencia Gonzalez. Odilia was a fun-loving, woman who enjoyed cooking for her family whenever she got the chance. She also loved listening to music, playing Loteria and especially loved playing card games. She was a master at the card game “31” and even earned herself the title, “La Reina del 31”. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Odilia is preceded in death by her parents, Enrique and Inocencia; loving husband of 45 years, Joe Raul De La Rosa; her daughters, Priscilla Ann De La Rosa and Monica Soza.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories, sons, Elias Gonzalez Jr., Joe Anthony De La Rosa, Steven De La Rosa Sr. and wife, Audrey, and Jason De La Rosa; daughters, Zulema G. Saenz and husband, Andres, Sylvia Gonzalez, Elva Chavera and husband, John, Noemi Gonzalez, Ofelia G. Alejandro and husband, Juan, and Palmira Gonzalez; a brother, Freddy Gonzalez; as well as 44 grandchildren; 74 great- grandchildren; and 10 precious great-great grandchildren.
