God Saw You Getting Tired
God saw you getting tired
And a cure was not to be
So he put His arms around you
And whispered, "Come to me."
With tearful eyes we watched you
As you slowly slipped away
And though we loved you dearly
We couldn't make you stay.
Your golden heart stopped beating
Your tired hands put to rest
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.
Nora Alicia Gloria passed on March 8, 2023, after a long battle with metastatic breast cancer. She was 52 years old. She was surrounded by her loved ones at the time she passed.
It would be wrong to say that Nora lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she was always determined. When anyone else would have broken, Nora stayed strong. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like. There was no quit in Nora. Just because she is no longer here, it doesn’t mean she lost her fight.
Nora is survived by her loving, husband, Gabriel, and her 3 sons, Javier, Gabriel J., Silvester, and 2 daughters, Sylvia and Jahelenne. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren.
Nora’s last wishes were to be cremated and have a small, private, intimate viewing with just immediate family and close friends.
