       Nicolasa Castaneda, 79, of Bryan passed away Monday, April 23, 2018. Funeral Services are set for 11AM Thursday, April 26 in the Santa Teresa Church with burial to follow in the Bryan City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8PM Wednesday, April 25 with a 6PM Rosary in the Chapel of Trevino-Smith Funeral Home.

       Born September 10, 1938 in Jerez Zacatecas, Mexico she was the daughter of Nicanor and Maria Felix (Gutierrez) Castaneda. Nicolasa loved to sing, listen to music, cook and sew. She enjoyed reading and praying.

       She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of forty-eight years Pedro Carlos; and three sisters.

       Nicolasa leaves behind to cherish her memories, three sons, Moises and wife Martha Carlos, Reynaldo and wife Eva Carlos, and Amador and wife Luisa Carlos; two daughters, Ofelia Carlos and husband Samuel Ramirez, and Delta and husband Luis Sanchez; one brother, Agustin Castaneda; twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
