Nellie June Cain Obituary

Nellie June Cain, 88, of Hearne, Texas, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, Agust 26, 2025.  A Visitation is set for 10 AM till service time Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at the First Baptist Church in Hearne, Texas. Funeral Services are set for 11 AM Wednesday, September 3 at the First Baptist Church in Hearne, Texas. Officiating will be Pastor James Hooper. Burial will follow at Old Bethel Cemetery in College Station, Texas.  Funeral Services are entrusted under the direction of Trevino-Smith Funeral Home of Bryan, Texas


Nellie June Cain, born July 30, 1937, in Caldwell, Texas, she was the daughter of  Elige Hollis McWilliams and Ella Amelia Harper McWilliams. She enjoyed reading, watching western movies that had her favorite actor, John Wayne. As a true football fan, she was devoted to the Texas Aggie’s when it came to football. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved her family very much and will be deeply missed by all her knew her.  


She is preceded in death by her parents, Elige and Ella McWilliams; the father of her children, Thomas H. Reed.; a sister, Jean Matejka; son, Gary Reed; grandson Tommy Lynn Reed; and 2 daughter-in-laws, Rhonda Reed and Betty Jean Cain.


Nellie June leaves behind to cherish her memories, her loving husband of 16 years, Bill H. Cain; three sons, T.A. Reed and wife Barbara, Terry Reed and Jeffery Cain; daughter, Eva Harris and husband Oscar; brother, Keith McWilliams and wife Janet; 9 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and numerous friends.
