Nathaniel Williams, 82, of Madisonville, TX was called home June 1, 2026. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 13 at Free Pentecostal House of Prayer in Madisonville at 9:00 AM with a service to follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will take place at West End Cemetery in Madisonville directly following the service.
Born December 29, 1943 in Dallas, TX to Johnny and Sarah Sterling. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Boston Celtics, New York Yankies. He enjoyed watching action movies, Walker Texas Ranger, he loved reading the bible, preaching the gospel, and sharing the work of the Lord with others. He was a true light within his family.
He was preceded in death by; his parents who raised him, Mr. Mose and Thelma Johnson, his first wife, Barbara Jean (Manning) Williams, Second wife Linda Williams, brothers; Nelson Sanders, and James McCloud, Joe Ray Johnson, Johnny Johnson, Jack Johnson, GC Johnson, and his sister, Jean Johnson.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories, sons; Nathaniel Williams Jr. and wife Sharon Cole, daughters; Terry Caldwell and Nancy Holmes and husband Willie, brother, Robert Kent Johnson, sisters; Kathy Hawking and husband Bobby, and Luvada Hutchinson and husband Elbert, grandchildren; Jeremy, Zach, Sheena, Chris, Quilla, Sidney, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and special friend, Bo, who was there to help him throughout his life. Nathaniel will be remembered fondly and forever loved by all who knew him. His love and light will carry on forever.
