Morris "Glenn" Allen went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 14, 2024. A graveside service is set for 1pm, Friday, January 19, 2024, at Davis Greenlawn Cemetery in Rosenberg, Texas.
Morris “Glenn” Allen born to Mr. Charles L. Allen and Mrs. Dovie Brit Blackmon Allen on November 10, 1943, in Jacksonville, Texas. Glenn finished high school in 1962 then served overseas in the United States Army for three years. Upon his return, he went to work for Brown & Root Construction in Houston, Texas. During this time, he had two beautiful daughters, Mrs. Cynthia Clare Allen Ktendidis and Ms. Jennifer Glyn Allen Lucas. Glenn went on to work for Yeargan Western Corporation of Houston, Texas. He later went to work for Williams Brothers where he supervised jobs in Houston, San Antonio, and Waco, Texas. He retired from the construction business in 2017. He lived in West, Texas until this past November when he moved to Bryan, Texas.
Glenn was the proud grandfather of five wonderful grandchildren: Mr. Breaux Castleman, Ms. Olivia Castleman, Mr. Miles Castleman and Ms. Madelyn Grace Billetter and Mr. Lucas Walter Billetter.
Glenn is survived in death by his daughters Cynthia Allen Ktendidis and husband Demetri of Houston, Texas, Jennifer Allen and husband John Lucas, of Deer Park, Texas, his sisters Peggy Youngblood and husband Jimmy of Normangee, Texas and Charlotte Hemphill and husband Jerry of Normangee, Texas; as well as, numerous nieces and nephews.
Glenn is proceeded in death by his father Charles L. Allen, his mother Dovie Brit Allen, a sister Nancy Allen Dodson and her husband Jack, a nephew George Allen Yeater, and a niece Kimberly Kay Hemphill.
The family would like to thank Acara Hospice for providing Mr. Allen with excellent care during his time of need. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Heart of Acara Foundation.
