Michael Ronald Davidson passed away on July 2 at 10 pm at the Madisonville Care Facility with inoperable cancer. Mike was surrounded by family all that day. His Mom, Doris, and Dad, DC, surely welcomed their son with open arms into heaven.  Mike was born in Beaumont, Tx on Oct 21, 1951.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Doris and DC Davidson. He is survived by 3 children, April Covington and husband Jeff of Tennessee, Mike Davidson Jr and wife Ellie of England, and Anna Gonzalez and husband Danny of Houston. Mike is survived by two sisters, Pattye Jordan and Lissa Davidson of Madisonville, and brother Terry Davidson and wife Robin of Madisonville. Mike has 3 surviving Aunts, Carol Davidson of North Zulch, Elouise Hebert of Beaumont, and Paula Jacks of Columbus, Nebraska. He loved his children and all his family, including 12 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. 

Mike loved to play guitar and sing in his band, Dead Beat Blues, along with his brother Terry and several other great friends.  He was still writing songs in his last days here on this earth. 

Mike worked night shift for Monterey Mushroom Plant for 20+ years. He also worked many years for Shivco Pest Control.  

As a teen, his family moved to La Marque, Texas, which gave him the opportunity to experience surfing with friends, which he loved.  He was drafted in 1971, and after 2 years, he returned home, married Teresa Rigsby, and moved to Madisonville in 1976. Mike was blessed with life, family, and faith.
