Mary Couch Pivonka, born August 15, 1950, in Bogata, Texas, she was the daughter of Clifton Couch and Rachael Menny Lee Long. Throughout her life, she embodied the values of compassion, selflessness, and unconditional love.

Mary had a heart that knew no bounds. Whether it was family, a neighbor, or even a stranger in need, Mary gave freely of her time, attention, and support. She was the kind of woman who would lend a hand before being asked, offer comfort without hesitation, and open her heart to anyone who needed it. Her kindness was not just an occasional gesture—it was the foundation of who she was. A devout Christian, Mary found strength in her faith and joy in her church community. She loved attending services and sharing fellowship with others. She enjoyed shopping trips—always thinking of others while picking out small gifts or thoughtful surprises. Music was another source of joy, especially the timeless tunes of Elvis Presley.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clifton and Rachael; her loving husband of 20 years, Alfred Louis Pivonka Sr.; brothers, Herman L. Couch and Billy L. Couch; and sisters, Bea Erwin, Jean Randall, Rita White,  and Edna Tarver.

Mary leaves behind to cherish her memories, four sons, Lawrence Pivonka Sr. and wife, Bettye, Bruce Pivonka, Alfred Pivonka and wife, Jennifer, and John Pivonka and wife, Jamie; a daughter, Rebecca Pivonka; two sisters, Julie Stilson, Barbara Collins and husband, Roy; sister-in-law,  Brenda Couch; additional siblings, Linda Gillingham and husband, Rob, Brenda Hester and husband, Clay, Larry Couch and wife, Carolyn, and Edward Couch and wife, Teresa; grandchildren, Shawn, Meridith, Lawrence, Cory, DeWayne, Tory, Rachel, Kayla, Tara, Hailey, and Katie; 23 precious great-grandchildren; as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and friends.
