Mary Frances Brooks, 80, of Caldwell, passed away peacefully December 24, 2025.  

Born on August 20, 1945, in Corpus Christi, Texas, she was the daughter of Oscar Thomas Wylie and Dorothy Inez Blackstock. Mary was a fun-loving woman who found joy in simple pleasures and shared moments. She enjoyed listening to music and often let it move her to dance, whether at home or out with friends. In her spare time, she liked playing pool, appreciating both the game and the camaraderie it brought. In her younger years, Mary also enjoyed playing cards and spending quiet days fishing, activities that reflected her love of relaxation, friendly competition, and time spent outdoors.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Dorothy; her beloved husband of 45 years, Barney Brooks; as well as two children, Kathy Brooks and Henry Brooks.

Mary leaves behind to cherish her memories a son, William Brooks; a daughter, Orlanda Franks and husband, Bobby; and grandchildren, Anthony Gonzalez and Mary Sprinkle. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
