Mary “Lucy” Alvarado

October 31, 1961 – April 4, 2020

       Mary Lucy Alvarado, 58, of Bryan formerly of Hearne passed away Saturday April 4, 2020. Funeral Services are set for Saturday, April 11 in the Chapel of Trevino-Smith Funeral Home, Pastor Cristobal Ledezma will officiate and burial will follow at the Norwood Cemetery in Hearne. Visitation will be Friday, April 10 also at the Funeral Home.

       Born October 31, 1961 in Calvert, Texas she was the daughter of Guadalupe Alvarado and Ruth (Serna). Mary enjoyed cooking for her family, shopping and deeply loved her family and grandchildren. She also enjoyed making people laugh and could make herself heard if she needed to. Lucy was a God fearing woman and would worship God anytime of the day. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

       Her parents, two brothers, Joel and Junior Alvarado; and one sister Sylvia precede her in death.

       Mary leaves behind to cherish her memories two sons, Julio Colocho and wife Kristina, and Oscar Colocho and wife Liliana; seven brothers, Asencion Alvarado, Frank Alvarado and wife Ninfa, Adam and Sandra Alvarado, Daniel Alvarado, Tony Alvarado and Stella, Juan Alvarado, and Richard and Susie Alvarado; four sisters, Rachel Alvarado, Gloria and Jose Ramon Zamora, Mary and husband Martin Luna and Christina and David Perez; seven loving  grandchildren, Benjamin, Julissa, Nevaeh, Leah, Oscar Jr, Victoria, and Ezekiel.
