Maria “Isabel” Rueda, 89, of Bryan went into the arms of the Lord on Wednesday, January 8, 2025. A Visitation is set for Wednesday, January 15, 2025 from 12pm to 1pm; with a Rosary at 12:30pm all in the Chapel of Trevino Smith Funeral Home.  Funeral Services are also set for Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 1:30pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church; burial will follow at Bryan City Cemetery.

Born October 22, 1935, in Independence, Texas, she was the daughter of Pablo and Dometilla (Rodriguez) Pena. Isabel was fun loving soul who liked to go dancing with friends in her youth. Later in life, she was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved to cook for her family. Isabel also loved listening to music.

Isabel is preceded in death by her parents, Pablo and Dometilla; as well as, six brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by her four sons, Daniel Rueda, Albert Rueda and wife Gloria, George Rueda and wife Lori, and, Lee Greg Rueda and wife Sue; one brother, Joe M. Pena and wife Jeanette; as well as numerous, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Isabel will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
