Maria Prado Zavala

Maria Prado Zavala, 87 of Bryan, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2023. A Memorial Service is set for 11AM Saturday, July 15 in the Chapel of Trevino-Smith Funeral Home.

Born March 25, 1936, in Donna, Texas, she was the daughter of Manuel and Paula (Flores) Prado. Maria enjoyed shopping and loved spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Paula; a daughter, Zulema Ocanez; two sisters, Angelita Garcia, and Elizabeth Rosalinda Lopez; two brothers, Rogelio and Manuel Prado Jr.; and son, Charlie Lopez Jr.

Maria leaves behind to cherish her memories, two sons, Jose Manuel Ocanez and Alfredo Gallardo; three daughters, Lydia Castaneda, Conrada Arellno, and Sara Portillo; two brothers, Eduardo, and Paul Prado; she also leaves three sisters, Julia Garcia, Juanita Reyes, and Margarita and Husband Felipe Oliva; twenty-three grandchildren, fifty-four great-grandchildren, numerous great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
