María Eugenia Martínez, de 64 años, residente de Bryan, falleció en paz el sábado 27 de diciembre de 2025, rodeada del amor de su familia y sostenida por su profunda fe.

Los servicios funerarios se llevarán a cabo el sábado 3 de enero a las 12:00 del mediodía en la Iglesia Católica Santa Teresa. La velación será el viernes 2 de enero de 5:00 a 7:00 p.m., con el rezo del Santo Rosario a las 6:00 p.m., en la Capilla de Trevino-Smith Funeral Home.

María Eugenia nació el 15 de abril de 1961 en la Ciudad de México, hija de Maria Martinez, criada por sus queridos abuelos Manuela y José Martínez. Desde muy joven, su vida estuvo profundamente marcada por su espiritualidad. Fue una mujer de fe firme y corazón generoso, muy querida por numerosos amigos sacerdotes, quienes siempre le brindaron su amistad y al final de su vida terrenal le brindaron servicios espirituales y oraciones. Ella encontró en ellos la presencia del mismo Dios y siguió un ejemplo vivo de servicio, humildad y Fe.

Esposa amorosa, madre entregada y abuela profundamente orgullosa, María centró su vida en Dios, su familia y su comunidad parroquial. Encontraba una alegría especial sirviendo en su iglesia y compartiendo tiempo con su familia de fe, donde su bondad y calidez tocaron innumerables corazones. Nada la hacía más feliz que pasar tiempo con sus nietos, a quienes adoraba, y disfrutar de salidas especiales y tardes de compras con sus hijas, creando recuerdos que permanecerán para siempre.

María será recordada como una mujer llena de luz, ternura y devoción inquebrantable. Su amor, su sonrisa y su fe permanecerán vivos en todos aquellos que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerla. Su partida deja un profundo vacío, pero también un legado de amor y esperanza.

Deja para honrar y atesorar su memoria a su amado esposo con el que compartió 44 años de casados José Roberto Reyes; a su hijo Jose Roberto Reyes Martínez y su esposa Karumi Durán López; a sus tres hijas: Betty Reyes y su esposo Jason Turner, Luz Reyes y su esposo David Gómez, y Ana Reyes y su esposo Lorenzo Cano; así como a sus 14 preciosos nietos: Evelyn, Clara, Angela, Paola, Emmanuel, Allison, Emilia, Iker, Annettemarie, Amara, Jancarlos, Victoria, Michael y Jack.

 

 

 

 

 

María Eugenia Martínez, 64, a resident of Bryan, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 27, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family and sustained by her deep faith.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 3 at 12:00 noon at St. Teresa Catholic Church. Visitation will be on Friday, January 2 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m., at Trevino-Smith Funeral Home Chapel.

María Eugenia was born on April 15, 1961, in Mexico City, daughter of María Martínez, and was raised by her beloved grandparents Manuela and José Martínez. From a very young age, her life was deeply marked by spirituality. She was a woman of strong faith and a generous heart, dearly loved by many priest friends who always offered her their friendship and, at the end of her earthly life, provided her with spiritual services and prayers. She found in them the very presence of God and followed a living example of service, humility, and faith.

A loving wife, devoted mother, and deeply proud grandmother, María centered her life on God, her family, and her parish community. She found special joy in serving her church and sharing time with her faith family, where her kindness and warmth touched countless hearts. Nothing made her happier than spending time with her grandchildren, whom she adored, and enjoying special outings and shopping afternoons with her daughters, creating memories that will last forever.

María will be remembered as a woman full of light, tenderness, and unwavering devotion. Her love, her smile, and her faith will remain alive in all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her passing leaves a profound void, but also a legacy of love and hope.

She was preceded in death by her parents: María Martínez, Manuela, and José Martínez.

She leaves to honor and cherish her memory her beloved husband of 44 years, José Roberto Reyes; her son José Roberto Reyes Martínez and his wife Karumi Durán López; her three daughters Betty Reyes and her husband Jason Turner, Luz Reyes and her husband David Gómez, and Ana Reyes and her husband Lorenzo Cano; as well as her 14 precious grandchildren: Evelyn, Clara, Angela, Paola, Emmanuel, Allison, Emilia, Iker, Annettemarie, Amara, Jancarlos, Victoria, Michael, and Jack.
