Margaret Acosta who resided in Bryan, Texas passed away Sunday, February 19, 2023.
She was born on November 4, 1934 to Joseph and Lucy Ordonez in Scottsdale, Arizona, raised in Deming, New Mexico.
Margaret was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Coviado & Joseph Ordonez Jr. sister: Amelia Villa, and her son Ruben Acosta Jr.
Margaret is survived by her three brothers: Edward,David & Robert Ordonez, sister: Cindy Wyer, & her daughter Alicia Heiserman.
Margaret loved and enjoyed being with her grandchildren: Christina R. Macias, Jenifer A. Hurlbert, and Joshua B. Hurlbert, along with her great grandchildren: Alexis, Bri, Mila, Joshua, Korah and Jacob.
Margaret had such a zest for life and loved participating in all the family activities and gatherings. She will be greatly missed by her family. It’s comforting to know that she is in heaven and at peace.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Amedisys Hospice Nurses: Danny, Dnae, Kourtney and Lynn (hospice social worker), and Chaplain who prayed for mom along with Father Ramon Frayna who prayed her last rites. Most importantly, to Mary Berger, her caregiver. You all gave great care with compassion, kindness, and respect. We are forever grateful.
A Celebration of Life is planned in place of funeral services. Cremation Service in the care of Trevino-Smith Funeral Home.
