Lydia Montez, 86, of Bryan, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 31, 2025. A Visitation is set for Thursday, June 5, 2025, from 5pm to 8pm with a Celebration of Life beginning at 6pm in the Chapel of Trevino Smith Funeral Home. A final viewing will take place at 11am on Friday, June 6, at Trevino Smith Funeral Home; burial will follow at Bryan City Cemetery.
Born June 12, 1938, in Georgetown, Texas, she was the daughter of Braulio and Anita (Muffin) Rogers. Lydia was a fun-loving, outspoken woman who brought joy and laughter to everything she did. She loved playing card games, loteria, music, dancing, and was always the life of the party at family barbecues. Lydia was also known for her cooking, especially her tamales.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Braulio and Anita; her loving husband, Andres Montez; and three daughters, two brothers, and, three sisters.
Lydia leaves behind to cherish her memories, a son, Enrique Prado III; three daughters, Maria Esquivel and husband Jose, Raquel Galarza, Irene Martinez, and Virginia Prado; eighteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren; as well as, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
