Linda Beth Kowis, beloved mother and wife passed away peacefully on July 5, 2024. Born on April 24,1947 in Battle Creek Michigan, Linda was the cherished daughter of Paul and Lucille Crandall and the youngest of three siblings.
In College, Linda was a competitive swimmer and lifeguard who loved the water. She became a talented painter of landscapes. She moved to Texas with her first husband Doug and started a family while working as a successful copy writer for Fleming Foods then Krogers.
Years later, Linda married again, this time to a retired firefighter named Danny who loved many of the same things as her. They moved to the Montgomery (north of Houston) area near family. Her passions included art, animals, nature, gardening, Elvis gospel and watching horseraces. She liked to dress fashionably and wear hats as much as possible.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents and siblings. She is survived by her son Mark Knab, daughter Lisa Frazier, and husband Danny Kowis. Linda also leaves behind her beloved cats Jewel and Jerry Lee that she adored.
In memory of Linda, her family encourages donations to local animal shelters. If you are unable to make a donation, honor Linda by spending time with your pet and expressing your love for them. Linda’s legacy of love, dedication, and compassion will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
