Mr. LaDon Jefferson, 68, of Houston went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 1, 2024. A Visitation is set for Friday, July 12 from 5 PM to 8 PM in the Chapel of Trevino Smith Funeral Home & Crematory of Madisonville. Funeral Services are set for 2PM, Saturday, July 13, at Pool Chapel Baptist Church. Reverend D.F. Johnson will officiate and burial will follow at West End Cemetery.  

Born October 1, 1955, in Normangee, Texas, he was the son of Lamar Jefferson and Cleo Nelson. In life, LaDon had many passions. He loved music, barbecuing, fishing, and even occasionally loved to DJ at functions whenever he got the chance. LaDon was a car enthusiast, which allowed him to succeed as a car salesman. He worked diligently and eventually became the new car manager at Planet Ford in Houston for 21 years. He was a hard-working, family man who will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lamar and Cleo; a son, Rayshawn Johnson; two daughters, Morniqua Dawkins and Aretha Dunn; and two sisters, Lillan Nell McDaniel and Elouise Jefferson.

LaDon leaves behind his memories, his loving wife of 44 years, Ruby (Johnson) Jefferson; two daughters, Lakita Curtis (Quentin), and LaDonna Jefferson; a brother, James Lee Jefferson and wife, Mamie; two sisters, JoAnn McCoy and Lisa Hall and husband Craig; grandchildren, Cebria Brice, Cedrick Brice, Aiden Gregory, Kayden Gregory, Raymond Curtis, Lafelix Curtis, Miya Dunn, and Kéaundre Dunn; four precious great-grandchildren, Abree Brice, Chance Burns, Nala Burns, and Zayne Curtis; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
