Krista Lynn Voigt, 56, of Bryan, finished her race here on Earth on Thursday, July 18, 2024. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10am, August 3, 2024, in the Chapel of Trevino Smith Funeral Home.

Born to parents Lawrence Voigt and Kaye (Magee) Durio, Krista’s race began on May 27, 1968, in Victoria, Texas. One of her favorite pastimes was watching and participating in drag races. She also enjoyed completing puzzles, feeding and watching birds, and cooking. Above all, Krista loved her family deeply and cherished the memories she made with them.

Krista is preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Voigt; maternal grandparents, Thomas L. and Hella Sophie Schmidt Magee (Granny); paternal grandparents, Henry and Myrtle Voigt; and one son, Joshua Hair.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her mother, Kaye Durio; husband, Duane Garner; two sons, James Hair and wife Sarah, and, Donny Hair; one daughter, Ellie Hair; a sister, Pam and husband Bo Wick; three beautiful grandchildren, Rylie, Matthew, and, John Luke Hair; as well as, a host of friends and other family members.

Krista will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
