Kenneth E. Payne, 78, of Edge passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. A Visitation is set for 10:30am until service time which will begin at 11am at House Cemetery.

Born September 15, 1946, in Houston, Texas, he was the son of Charles F. and Verna (Wilburn) Payne. Kenneth was a proud Veteran who served in the United States Army. He enjoyed fishing, working on cars, and racing. Kenneth found joy in the little things in life such as, taking walks with his dog, sitting on his back porch, and, riding his lawn mower. He also took pride in his community and could often be found taking care of his community cemetery. Above all, Kenneth loved his family and cherished every moment he spent with them.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Verna, a brother,a daughter, and, one beloved granddaughter.

Kenneth leaves behind to cherish his memories, his loving wife of eleven years, Virginia Payne; two sons, Trevor Payne and wife Nina, and, Allan Salmon and wife Betty, and; stepchildren, Craig and wife, Rhonda Scroggins, and Carl and wife, Sandra Scroggins, and; Cheryl and husband, Britt Adams, and Carrie Jeans, and; a sister, Susie and husband Karl Camenzind; as well as, twenty grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
