Kathy Tokes Obituary

Kathy L. Tokes, 75, of Bryan entered into the arms of our Lord on Thursday, October 23, 2025. No formal services are set at this time.

Born on October 14, 1950, in Palo Alto, California, Kathy was the beloved daughter of James and Mason (Wooten) Hayes. She had a lifelong fondness for cooking and music, and she found great joy in sharing both with those she loved.

Kathy cherished time spent with her family and especially treasured family gatherings. She found peace and inspiration in the beauty of the ocean and often spoke of how much she loved its calming view. Above all, Kathy had a deep and enduring love for her church, where her faith was a guiding light throughout her life.

She graduated from Menlo Atherton High School and was proud for her work in the Tensley Project that made it possible for children in the Bell Haven and East Palo Alto community to go to school in other districts, then she went on to work for the first cable company in Palo Alto called Cable Co-Op and retired in Midway Tx

She is preceded in death by, her parents, James Hayes and Mason (Wooten) Hayes.

Kathy leaves behind to cherish her memories, two sons, Jason Tokes and J.W. Tokes both of Bryan TX. One daughter, Nicole Walker, of Bryan TX. Seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren with one on the way.

Kathy will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
