Kathlene Robertson Obituary
Kathlene (Kathy) Robertson went to Heaven on 15 September 2025. She graduated from A&M Consolidated High School in 1982. There she was able to use her cheerful spirit for two years to cheer on the football team as a member of the Tigerettes. And using the beautiful voice God gave her, Kathy joined the school’s Girls Choir to share her gift. In 1988, Kathy graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology, a field she chose because it was her calling to be there for others.
Everyone who met Kathy instantly liked her, her sense of humor and her love of life. She was an incredible daughter and sister and set the example of how to live life to the fullest with honesty, joy and integrity and faith in God.
Having a servant’s heart, Kathy always found a way to serve residents in the various skilled nursing communities where she lived. She would joyfully volunteer with the Activities Department in many ways, including assisting other residents with bingo and crafts as well as being the singing entertainment.
In her earlier years, Kathy proudly attended First Methodist Church in Bryan. Later, she became an active member of Christ Church in College Station.
Kathy leaves behind her sister, Debbie Robertson, Bryan, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents Karroll and Sandra Robertson.
The family would like to personally thank the incredible staff and leadership at Lampstand Nursing and Rehabilitation where Kathy spent her last years. They welcomed her with open arms and provided the love and care she richly deserved.
We would also like to thank Amedisys Hospice who cared greatly for Kathy. The team was always on top of her care and ensured her comfort throughout her journey.
Additionally, a huge thank you goes out to Sherrill Frank, Kathy’s trusted caregiver through Visiting Angels over the years. Her dedication to Kathy was incredible. Another thank you goes to Lynda Buck who also provided wonderful private duty care for Kathy for which we are immeasurably grateful.
Kathy was an avid animal lover so in lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to Red Collar Rescue at www.redcollar.org which is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to providing abused and abandoned animals with medical care, foster care, training and adoptive placement into loving forever homes.
The Celebration of Life will be at Christ Church on Saturday, 27 September at 10:00 am. The Church address is 4201 State Hwy 6 S; College Station, Texas 77845.
