Karroll Robertson Obituary
Karroll (“KB”) Robertson, 88, went to Heaven on 9 August 2025. A proud resident of the Bryan/College Station area for over 60 years, Karroll built a life rooted in friendship, community service, and a deep love for the place he called home.
Everyone who met Karroll instantly liked him, his sense of humor and his love of life. He was an incredible parent and set the example of how to live life honestly, with joy and integrity.
Karroll was a proud Veteran who served in the Navy Air Reserves where he was Honorably Discharged,
Having a servant’s heart, he became involved with the B-CS Jaycees, a service organization. There he was awarded a Life Membership in the B-CS Jaycees, Jaycee of the Month multiple times and a commendation for Speak Up Jaycee for his outstanding achievement as a speaker. He also was awarded the Jaycees President Award of Honor.
Volunteering was a true passion for Karroll. At the College Station Medical Center (formerly “The Med”), he found great joy in serving others and, in 2017, was honored as Volunteer of the Year.
Karroll also cherished his years working with the Texas A&M Event Staff at football games. He took great pride in guiding fans around the stadium, helping them find their seats, assisting during emergencies, and warmly welcoming visitors to Aggieland. Whether greeting guests with a smile or ensuring their safety, Karroll loved being part of the game-day experience and sharing in the spirit of Texas A&M.
Professionally, Karroll spent many years as a Service Technician with the NCR Corporation and ICON. His dedication to his customers often resulted in him selling more cash registers than sales representatives—despite receiving no commission—simply because he wanted the best for them. He considered his customers friends, and the feeling was mutual. Known for his exceptional mechanical skills, Karroll impressed even his trainers; during classes on new equipment, instructors often asked him to teach while they stepped away, confident in his expertise.
While in the Jaycees, Karroll’s love of exchanging trading pins with those from other states morphed into Robertson’s Imports where he designed and created trading pins. Some of his clients included an assortment of Jaycee chapters throughout the State of Texas, Texas A&M University, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and the Confederate Air Force.
He proudly served as an usher and Sunday School teacher for many years at the First Methodist Church in Bryan. Later, Karroll became an active member of Christ Church in College Station.
Karroll leaves behind two daughters, Debbie Robertson and Kathy Robertson, both in Bryan, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Robertson.
Karroll was an avid animal lover so in lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to Red Collar Rescue at www.redcollar.org which is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to providing abused and abandoned animals with medical care, foster care, training and adoptive placement into loving forever homes. This organization is often the last resort for animals who are left abandoned to die in high-kill shelters or on the streets.
The Celebration of Life will be at Christ Church on Friday, 22 August 2025 at 10:00 am. The Church address is 4201 State Hwy 6 S; College Station, Texas 77845.
