Juan Bosquez, 78, of Bryan, Texas passed away Thursday, December 12, 2024. Born on May 5, 1946 in Bryan, Texas, son of Diego and Petra (Nieto) Bosquez.
Juan enjoyed camping, hiking and all things outdoors. He served in the United States Army for 20 years. His service included 2 tours during the Vietnam war, time in Korea & Germany and even a stint as a flight instructor. He retired with the rank of E6 Staff Sergeant.
A faithful member of the American Legion Post 159, he served on the Honor Guard team for many years. He was a fellow believer at Christ’s Way Baptist Church for more than 15 years. Juan was a jokester and loved kidding around with his family and friends - just to see them crack a smile.
His parents, Diego and Petra, along with his daughter, Jennifer Bosquez, and six brothers, Lupe, Luther, Diego, Frank, Roy, and Rafael Bosquez, and four sisters, Argelia Escobedo, Jean Benavides, Josefina Escobedo, Estella Garcia, precede him in death.
Juan leaves behind his cherished memories, to his loving wife of 26 years, Ruth Ann Bosquez; two sons, Vincent and his wife Rebecca Bosquez, Patrick and wife Yadira Bosquez, and step son Dean Hartman, four sisters, Helen Medina, Esther Trejo, Victoria Lara, and Orvilia and her husband Cruz Castro, and brother-n-law Rudy Benavides Sr., sister-n-law Minerva Bosquez, he also leaves nine grandchildren, Alejandra, Teresa, Salvador, Beto, Azdrid, Seth, Emily, Angelina, and Jesus, and five precious great grandchildren, Brinley, Analia, Kyrie, Kinsley, and Roman; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Visitation is set for 5-8 pm on Monday, December 16th and Services are set for Tuesday, December 17th at 11 am both events will be in the Chapel of Trevino-Smith Funeral Home, procession to Bryan City Cemetery. Fellowship TBD.
