Joycelyn I Clark, 71, of Bryan passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 22, 2025. Funeral Services are set for 10:30AM Tuesday, December 30 in the Chapel of Trevino-Smith Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10AM until service time also at Trevino-Smith. Deacon Mike Beauvais will officiate and burial will follow at the Bryan City Cemetery.
Born on April 24, 1954, in Bridgetown, Barbados, Joycelyn was the beloved daughter of Sandrine Prescod. Known for her quick wit and contagious laughter, Joycely had a gift for making people smile, often by playfully teasing the ones she loved most. Family was at the center of her world, and she showed that love through her delicious home-cooked meals, shared memories of old movies and music, and countless moments of joy around the table. Joycelyn embraced life fully, enjoying everything from bowling nights to road trips both near and far. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose warmth, humor, and vibrant spirit touched everyone she met. JP will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the love and laughter she brought into the lives of those who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Sandrine; her loving husband of thirty six years, Derick Clark; an aunt Clytie Ellis; and a brother - in - law, Robert Clark Jr.
Joycelyn leaves behind to cherish her memories three sons, James Clark, Andre Clark, and Eric Clark; a daughter, LaShonda Clark; she also leaves her favorite sister, Monica Holder; as well as a brother - in - law, Preston Clark; two sisters - in - law, Shari Clark and Mel Clark; along with, 5 grandchildren, 2 precious great grandchildren; and numerous nieces; nephews; cousins; and friends
