Joyce entered Heaven’s gates on Friday December 6, 2024, at the age of 68. She was born on

November 4, 1956, in Pasadena, Texas to Kenneth Griffin and Mavis Griffin.

As a child she loved the outdoors and was a tomboy through and through. She was a devoted

daughter, mother, mema, sister, aunt, and friend. As she grew up, she always loved the

outdoors, fishing, horses, and gardening. In addition, she was a great cook and shared her

recipes with her daughters and at the local cafe where she worked in Marquez, Texas for many

years.

Joyce is proceeded in death by her father Kenneth Griffin, sister Judy Vincent, and niece

Johnna Litherland.

Joyce is survived by her mother Mavis Griffin of Houston, Texas, her daughters Jill Vick and

Travis Vick of Marquez, Texas and Carol Johnson and Robert Johnson of Centerville, Texas,

sister Janie Lusk and Brian Lusk of Buffalo, Texas, grandchildren Andrew Frost-Vick, Brent

Draper and Terrie LeCamus, Cameron Aldridge, Mason Vick, William Johnson and Ravenne

Hadley, Travis Johnson, Tristan Vick, Chloe Aldridge, Kyleigh Vick and great-grandchildren

Riley and Naomi.

Graveside Funeral Services are set for 11AM Saturday, January 4 at Holly Cemetery in Ridge, Texas.
