Jose Tovar Murillo, 67, of Bryan, Texas passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021. A Rosary Service is set for 6PM Monday, August 2 in the Chapel of Trevino-Smith Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5-8PM Monday, August 2 also in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at a later date in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.

Born on January 24, 1954 in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico, he was the son of Rodrigo Tovar and Anna Murillo. He enjoyed music, and riding horses. He also enjoyed talking with everyone he met and would always speak his mind.

His parents, three brothers, and one sister precede him in death.

Jose leaves behind to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 30 year Maria Hernandez de Tovar; one daughter Elizabeth Tovar; one brother, Arthuro and wife Elvira Tovar; he also leaves three sisters, Francisca Tovar, Polinar Tovar, and Soledad Tovar.
