Jose Manuel Ocañes, 75, of Bryan gained his wings on May 29, 2025. .
Born March 2, 1950, in Donna, Texas, he was the son of Otavio Ocañes and Maria Zavala. Jose was a hard-working man who worked in construction for most of his youth, abating asbestos. In his spare time, he loved to fish at Bryan Lake, enjoyed listening to music, and loved to dance.
Jose is preceded in death by his parents, Otavio and Maria, as well as a sister, Sulema Ocañes.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories, two daughters, Brenda Ocañes and Barbara Ocañes Rico; a brother, Alfredo Gallardo; three sisters, Lydia Castenada, Conrada Arellano, and Sara Portillo.
Jose will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
