Jose Trinidad Diaz "Danny" Obituary
Jose Trinidad Diaz “Danny”, 73, of Bryan passed away Saturday, January 17, 2026. A Memorial Service is set for 11AM Saturday, February 7 in the Chapel of Trevino-Smith Funeral Home.
Born September 6, 1952, in Wharton, Texas, Jose was the son of Trinidad and Guadalupe (Cadriel) Diaz. He was a hard-working man whose life was defined by his love for family and his generous spirit. He enjoyed picking fun at others, always with the goal of bringing a smile to their faces. Music filled his soul, and he especially loved listening to it and dancing whenever he had the chance. Jose also had a deep appreciation for art, with Ansel Adams among his favorites. For many decades, he worked diligently as a service technician for Coca-Cola, a career he took great pride in before retiring. Jose was a cherished son, a loving brother, and a devoted uncle whose presence brought joy, laughter, and love to all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Trinidad and Guadalupe; his brother, Gilbert C. Diaz; a sister, Linda Diaz; two nephews, Tracy Andrew Sauseda and Richard Adam Sauseda.
Jose is survived by his brother, Adolph C. Diaz; along with six sisters, Mary and her husband Benny Sauseda, Rosalinda Puryear, Carmen Shilling, Dora Diaz, Theresa and Alvaro Turrubiartes, and Stacy and Roy Rhodes; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and countless friends who will forever cherish his memory.
