Jon Philip Cook Jr., 67, of College Station, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2026.  A Memorial Service is set for 1PM - 4PM Sunday, February 1, 2026, in the Chapel of Trevino-Smith Funeral Home.

Born on November 08, 1958, in Houston, Texas, he was the son of Jon Philip Cook Sr. and Juanita Byrne.

Jon was a fun-loving man who truly made every moment count. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, spending his spare time fishing and hunting, often appreciating the peace that came with being outdoors. He enjoyed relaxing with classic westerns and never missed the chance to fire up the grill, proudly barbecuing for his family and bringing everyone together. Jon was also a devoted sports fan, faithfully cheering on his favorite teams, especially the Houston Astros and the Houston Texans.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jon and Juanita; beloved wife, Rhonda Cook; four brothers, Jonny Cook, Jonathan Cook, Joseph Cook, and Donny Cook; nephew, Bryan Cook; father-in-Law, Rance Moore; brother-In Law, Louis Ruiz; and sister-in-law, Karen Moore.  

Jon leaves behind to cherish his memories, two daughters, Ashley Wann and husband, Brant, and Kristina Cook and wife, Rebecca; three brothers, Jesse Cook (Chau), Jeffery Cook(Becky), and Jason Cook(Kathy); three sisters, Judith Young (David), Jane Pennington, and Jennifer Metzler (Shannon); sisters-In-law, Brenda Ruiz and Veda Moore; mother-in-law, Betty Moore; nieces, Kimberly, Becca, Kailey, Shannah, Vivie, Gabby and Angela; nephews, Billy, Mart, Jon, Tommy,  Chris, Turner, Sam, Jake, Rance, Mark, and Richard; two beautiful grandchildren, Ava Wann and Liam Wann; as well as two precious grandpups, Ruby and Whis; and a host of other extend family members.

He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
