It is with great sorrow and loving hearts we share the passing of Joel Peña Aldaco. Joel was a man of character and strong will, the kind of man that always put his family first, believed in honest hard work and wanted to provide a better future for his children.

His smile always lit up the room and he was known for singing out his favorite songs so everyone within a mile could hear him. He was a die-hard Rayados fan, loved grilling with a cold beer in hand, and was known to dance around the room when happy or after he won a game. Always fond of life on the rancho, Joel raised animals and loved caring for them in hopes of bringing the rancho to him. He also loved fishing with family and would insist on fishing tournaments that he would win regularly. It helped that he would teasingly change the rules. Never one to leave a friend or loved one in need, always an amazing listener, and known for giving great advice. He was very giving in nature and made many friends wherever he went. Joel went to his place with God on Friday, November 6th, 2020 at the age of 55.

Born and raised in Monterrey Mexico to Isidoro Aldaco and Herlinda (Peña). Joel grew up with his siblings Servando and Maria and had a close relationship with both. They would spend afternoons roller skating, riding bikes or playing soft ball and looked forward to camping when they could. Even at a young age he was a giving and thoughtful person and displayed such kindness by cutting roses for his mom on his way home from school. He spent his childhood learning and growing with his family in a way that prepared him to be a loving father one day.

Once grown and had established a family himself, he did his best to instill in his children the values that made his character so strong. On every occasion making sure he was able to provide for his family even if it meant him working 3 jobs at a time. He showed his children that honest hard work and family should come first. Doing his best to provide every opportunity for his children and cheered on their success always. Forever playful and loving he made sure to devote time to all of his children, in ways that were special to each of them.

In love, he was lucky to find a special partner in his wife Eva. Their love blossomed over 18 years and in 10 years of marriage. He was a thoughtful, playful and caring husband, always thinking of her and making sure they spent quality time together and shared heart to heart conversations constantly. He would always wake her with a kiss and regularly make breakfast for her.  Giving affection and tokens of his love with flowers or special little momentos. Their love was a great love and an example to their children. 

Joel leaves behind his beloved wife Eva Aldaco, his parents, Isidoro and Herlinda; his children; JoAnna Trotter and husband Brandon, Joel Aldaco Jr. and wife Basilia, Berenice Lara and husband Jose Jiminez, Bernardo Lara, Jonathan Alan Aldaco, Leslie Monique Aldaco, and Isidoro Aldaco, Siblings: Servando Aldaco and wife Mari; Maria Del Refugio Aldaco, and his three precious grandchildren; Giovanni Jiminez, Genesis Jiminez, and Aaron Jiminez.

Graveside Funeral Services are set for 12:15 PM Saturday, November 14th at the Caldwell Masonic Cemetery.

Es con gran dolor y corazón amoroso que compartimos el fallecimiento de Joel Peña Aldaco. Joel era un hombre de carácter y voluntad fuerte, el tipo de hombre que siempre ponía a su familia primero, creía en el trabajo duro y honesto y quería brindar un futuro mejor a sus hijos.

Su sonrisa siempre iluminaba la habitación y era conocido por cantar sus canciones favoritas para que todos en un radio de una milla pudieran escucharlo. Era un fanatico de los Rayados, le encantaba asar en la parrilla con una cerveza fría en la mano y era conocido por bailar por la sala cuando estaba feliz o después de ganar un juego. Siempre aficionado a la vida en el rancho, Joel criaba animales y amaba cuidarlos con la esperanza de traer un poco de la vida del rancho a su hogar. También le encantaba pescar con la familia e insistía en los torneos de pesca que ganaba con regularidad. Ayudaba que él jugando cambiaba las reglas en a su ventaja. Siempre dispuesta a escucharte y a sacrificar lo que fuera por un ser querido o un amigo. Era muy generoso por naturaleza e hizo muchos amigos dondequiera que fuera. Joel fue a su lugar con Dios el viernes 6 de noviembre de 2020 a la edad de 55 años.

Nacido y criado en Monterrey México hijo de Isidoro Aldaco y Herlinda (Peña). Joel creció con sus hermanos Servando y Maria y tuvo una relación cercana con ambos. Pasaban las tardes patinando sobre ruedas, montando bicicleta o jugando a la pelota suave y esperaban con ansias acampar cuando pudieran. Incluso a una edad temprana era una persona generosa y considerada, y mostró tanta amabilidad al cortar rosas para su madre cuando regresaba a casa desde la escuela. Pasó su infancia aprendiendo y creciendo con su familia de una manera que lo preparó para ser un padre amoroso algún día.

Una vez que creció y estableció una familia él mismo, hizo todo lo posible para inculcar en sus hijos los valores que fortalecían su carácter. En cada ocasión, asegurándose de poder mantener a su familia, incluso si eso significaba que tenía 3 trabajos a la vez. Mostró a sus hijos que el trabajo duro y honesto y la familia deben ser lo primero. Haciendo todo lo posible para brindar todas las oportunidades a sus hijos y siempre aplaudió su éxito. Siempre juguetón y cariñoso, se aseguró de dedicar tiempo a todos sus hijos, en formas que eran especiales para cada uno de ellos.

En el amor tuvo la suerte de encontrar una compañera especial en su esposa Eva. Su amor floreció durante 18 años y en 10 años de matrimonio. Él era un esposo atento, juguetón y cariñoso, siempre pensaba en ella y se aseguraba de que pasaran tiempo de calidad juntos y compartieran conversaciones de corazón a corazón constantemente. Siempre la despertaba con un beso y regularmente le preparaba el desayuno. Regalar cariño y muestras de su amor con flores o pequeños momentos especiales. Su amor fue un gran amor y un ejemplo para sus hijos.

Joel deja atrás a su amada esposa Eva Aldaco, a sus padres, Isidoro y Herlinda; sus hijos; JoAnna Trotter y esposo Brandon, Joel Aldaco Jr. y esposa Basilia, Berenice Lara y esposo Jose Jiminez, Bernardo Lara, Jonathan Alan Aldaco, Leslie Monique Aldaco y Isidoro Aldaco, hermanos; Servando Aldaco y esposa Mari; María Del Refugio Aldaco y sus tres preciosos nietos; Giovanni Jiminez, Genesis Jiminez y Aaron Jiminez.

Los servicios funerarios junto a la tumba están programados para las 12:15 pm el sábado 14 de noviembre en el cementerio masónico de Caldwell. El velorio será de 6 a 8 pm el viernes 13 de noviembre en la capilla de la funeraria Trevino Smith en Bryan. La familia le pide amablemente que venga con máscara y distancia social.
