Born July 17, 1945 in Houston, he was the son of Joe T. Goodrum and Versie(Wilder) Driver.  Joe most enjoyed hauling cattle and driving his many 18 wheelers and spending time with his family and close friends at Joe’s Place and knocking back a cold Coors Light or a Crown Reserve and water and eating a steak sandwich.  He also enjoyed his weekly board meetings at Tabor store. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

His parents, Joe T and Versie; along with one son, Joe “Jody” Goodrum; a daughter Billie Jo Cross; wife, Peggy Goodrum; and the mother of his children, Nancy Goodrum, precede him in death.

Joe leaves behind to cherish his memories, his best friend Trudy Allen; daughter, Marie and husband Skip Taylor, daughter-in-law, Brooke Seymour; step-son, Kelly Cox and wife Jennifer and a son-in-law Will Cross; he also leaves two sisters, Annette Goodrum and Kathy Music Neuenfeldt; as well as his loving grandchildren, Kelsey and husband Derrick Bradford, Garrett and wife Kourtney Hallmark, Keaton Taylor and fiancé Kayla, Logan Klentz, Jake Goodrum, Jon Goodrum, and Trace Ford and we can’t forget his precious great grandbabies Emoriee Bradford, Grant Bradford, Leighton Jo Hallmark, and expected Baby Hallmark(December 2024).  Along with his 4-legged best friend, Diamond.
