Jesus Deluna

Jesus Deluna, 75, of Bryan passed away Sunday, September 17, 2023. Funeral Services are set for 10 AM, October 2 at Santa Teresa Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Sunday, October 1 with a Rosary starting at 6 PM in the Chapel of Trevino-Smith Funeral Home.  

Born September 1, 1948, in Villa Union Coahvilla, Mexico, he was the son of Esiquio Deluna and Josefa Duran. Jesus loved his family immensely and especially loved getting together with them whenever he had the opportunity.  Whenever he had spare time, he would spend it tending to his land, making sure it was always up-kept. Jesus was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Esiquio and Josefa; a sister, Maria De Jesus Deluna, and a grandson, Lorenzo Emmanuel Carrizales.

Jesus leaves behind to cherish his memories, sons,  Jesus Deluna, and Raul Deluna; four daughters, Sanjuana Deluna, Gloria Patricia, Raquel Deluna, and Esmeralda Deluna; two brothers, Francisco Deluna and Gilberto Deluna; sister, Hortencia Cardenas; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends. 

 Jesús Deluna, de 75 años, de Bryan, falleció el domingo 17 de septiembre de 2023. Los servicios funerarios están programados para el 2 de octubre a las 10 a.m. en la Iglesia Católica Santa Teresa. El velorio será de 5 a 8 p. m. el domingo 1 de octubre con un Rosario a partir de las 6 p. m. en la Capilla de la funeraria Trevino-Smith.

Nacido el 1 de septiembre de 1948 en Villa Unión Coahvilla, México, era hijo de Esiquio Deluna y Josefa Durán. Jesús amaba inmensamente a su familia y le encantaba especialmente reunirse con ellos cada vez que tenía la oportunidad. Siempre que tenía tiempo libre, lo dedicaba a cuidar su tierra, asegurándose de que siempre estuviera en buen estado. Jesús fue un padre, abuelo, hermano, tío, primo y amigo amoroso. Todos los que lo conocieron y amaron lo extrañarán profundamente.

Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, Esiquio y Josefa; una hermana, María De Jesús Deluna, y un nieto, Lorenzo Emmanuel Carrizales.

Jesús deja atrás para atesorar sus recuerdos, sus hijos, Jesús Deluna y Raúl Deluna; cuatro hijas, Sanjuana Deluna, Gloria Patricia, Raquel Deluna y Esmeralda Deluna; dos hermanos, Francisco Deluna y Gilberto Deluna; hermana, Hortencia Cárdenas; así como numerosos nietos y bisnietos; y muchos otros familiares y amigos.
